Lizzie McGuire Party Supplies and Ideas!

The following free party tips for a Lizzie McGuire Birthday Party are provided by shindigZ.com

Lizzie McGuire Party Slogan:

After selecting this theme for your party, choose a slogan to use in your invitations and for tying in decorations and personalized favors for your hip Lizzie McGuire theme. Find the perfect slogan for your party by trying one of the following, or by thinking of one that suits your little fashion sensation:

“Puh-leeease join us…for some Funky Fun at Cassie’s Birthday Bash!”

“Super-Cool…Girls Rule!”

“Join us for some Dee-lish fun at Julie’s birthday!”

Lizzie McGuire Party Invitations:

Choose one of the following invitations to let your young guests know what a hip and happening time they will have at the party:

The Lizzie McGuiretm Ensemble contains a styling invite that is perfect for this theme!

Or try the unique Design Invitation can be imprinted with your personalized slogan and details of the party…you name it, and they’ll print it for you!

Consider attaching this invite to some Nail Polish from the Favor Pack with Curling Ribbon. The invite could say, “Paint your nails and style your hair…super-cool girls are everywhere!”

Lizzie McGuire Party Decorations

This party is sure to be a big hit with girls ages 5-10. We offer lots of stunning decorations to set just the right tone for this theme and to guarantee deeh-lish fun for everyone!

Lizzie McGuire Party Outdoor decorations:

Line a walkway with Shimmer Stars. Tape the stars with masking or duct tape to the sidewalk or walkway leading to your front door.

Attach a bouquet of helium-filled Balloons to a light post or mailbox so there will be no mistaking where the fun will be that day!

Lizzie McGuire Party Indoor Decorations:

Start your decorating with the Lizzie McGuire Ensemble. This ensemble contains balloons, streamers, curling ribbon, banners, and even a Flower Power pińata to match your theme.

If you purchase only one decoration for a Lizzie McGuire birthday party…this is the one to buy! A spectacular Diva Stage with Microphone Stand will be the hit of the party, and will provide hours of entertainment. This 3-D stage provides the perfect backdrop for the ultimate fashion photo-shoot and for an extravagant musical show staged by the birthday girl and her way-cool friends. Kate will eat her heart out when she sees this! This is what dreams are made of!

No Lizzie McGuire stage show would be complete without special effects. Add Party Lights and a Fog Machine to create the biggest and best birthday bash ever!

Giant Groovy Times Flowers and Lighted Lanterns are Lizzie favorites! These fab decorations will make a smooth transition to brighten the birthday girl's bedroom after the party ends.

Tie bows with Mini Star Gossamer across the top of each chair back. The bows can be cut to any length and look terrific with tails trailing on the floor. Make bows to hang anywhere and everywhere…chairs, doorways, tree trunks, stair rails, deck posts, gift packages or table-ends. The bows hold their shape beautifully at a fraction of the cost of wired ribbon.

Balloons can economically transform any room into a festive space in a matter of minutes by using some of the following ideas:

*Use a Helium Tank to fill balloons. Tie Curling Ribbon to Balloons, and group them together. (Odd numbers look best: 3, 5, or 7) Place groupings of balloons around the party room.

*Tie a bunch of helium-filled balloons to the birthday girl’s chair, or tie one balloon to the back of each chair.

*If you choose not to use helium, tie balloons to varying lengths of Curling Ribbon and hang Balloons from the ceiling or from a light fixture over the party table.

Streamers offer an economical way to splash lots of color around the site of the party. Create a fun and colorful effect by draping metallic streamers from the center of the ceiling to the walls on each side of the room. They also look terrific hanging from doorframes or cascading vertically down walls.

Metallic Curtains in an array of colors provide an economical way to add dazzle to a doorway, food area or “runway” entry.

Lizzie McGuire Party Table Decorations & Napkins:

Setting a table with the party ware, including the tablecloth, cups, plates, napkins, and cutlery is the fastest way to create a focal point in a room. Start by setting your table with all the goodies in the Lizzie McGuire Ensemble, including setting a place setting at the table for each birthday guest.

Setting the table with all the tableware creates a much splashier effect. Add one or a few of the following touches to personalize your table:

Place one holographic silver 12” Metallic Foil Quasar Star under each plate as a “placemat”.

Try a 3-D Star or Star Plume Centerpiece for big table impact at a budget price.

Display your birthday cake in the center of the table - the girls will love the close up view!

Add other Personalized Items, such as a Stadium Cup, to each place setting to let the birthday child know just how special she is. These items will stir fond memories of the “best birthday ever” for many years to come.

For an original touch on your party table, use a silver paint pen to draw random dots or squiggles on the handles of plastic cutlery. Tie the plastic flatware and Napkin together with Curling Ribbon or Gossamer Streamers…big impact at a little price!

Order pink or orange Napkins and have them imprinted with your party slogan and the design of your choice. Select a metallic or foil imprint. The napkins will serve several purpose - great decorating in disguise and a treasured memento for the birthday girl’s scrapbook. Try one of the following ideas to liven up your table:

Unfold the napkins, pinch each in the center of the napkin, and place the center point in the bottom of each cup from the Lizzie McGuire Ensemble. This adds a festive touch while the cups are still empty.

Twist a Glitter Jelly Bracelet around the napkin and cutlery bundle, or use a Crystal Ring as a napkin ring.

Lizzie McGuire Party Activities

A Lizzie McGuire party just wouldn’t be complete without some fashionably screwball fun! This theme is perfect for any little girl who is way-cool, and has larger-than-life dreams for a faan-tabulous future!

Body Jewels and Bubbles are always a big hit and both are perfect party starters. Let those who arrive early get “Be-Jeweled” and play with bubbles while they wait for all the guests to arrive.

Passion for Fashion Dress-up - Gather all the fun dress-up clothing you can find (or borrow from friends)…fun, fancy, foo-foo outfits (size is completely irrelevant), Feather Boas, faux fur wraps, hi-heeled play shoes, pleather pants or skirts, capes, etc. As each guest arrives, invite her to the design studio to prepare for the fashion show. We offer several fabulous Costume Options for every girl to X-press her fashion sense, including sunglasses to cut the glare from photographer’s flashbulbs and blazing spotlights!

After the girls are ready to rock…the party will take on a life of its own! Prior to the party, burn a special party soundtrack for each girl, made up of all the birthday girl’s favorite songs. The Birthday Imprinted CDs are perfect for this purpose. The music can be used for a super-stylin fashion show, or for a live concert at the Coliseum in romantic Italy. Look out Paolo!

Next, have the girls take to the stage! Our Diva Stage with Microphone Stand will bring out the “sassy” in the shyest of girls, and it is the ultimate Lizzie McGuire party prop. The stage can be used for two different activities. If some of the girls are timid to begin with, remind them that Lizzie can be ever-so-clutzy and clumsy, and have the adults leave the room for a short time:

Watch the girls transform into fashion mavens! This backdrop provides a great setting for a stylin’ photo-shoot, a rockin’ fashion show, and for hours of fun as each girl takes a turn in the spotlight! An adult should be the commentator for the fashion parade, until the girls get comfortable. Then they can take turns introducing each other, “Next, we have Chelsea, wearing some faaaabulous turquoise snake skin pleather pants, a daaarling and daring black sequined top with to-die-for feather cuffs on the sleeves.” The more dramatic, flashy and flattering the commentary, the better. Kate will be pea green with envy!

Provide Glitter Microphones and Inflatable Instruments and watch as the girls transform into teen singing sensations! This backdrop provides a great setting for a stylin’ music concert, and for hours of fun as each girl takes a turn in the spotlight! You'll find that most of the girls will be familiar with the songs from the soundtrack of The Lizzie McGuire Movie. Even if you need to listen to "This is what dreams are made of!" fifty times, it will be worth it when you see the confident smiles on the sweet faces of your daughter and her friends. If you wish, you could hire a dance instructor or high school girl to come to the party to choreograph a dance or direct a music video. Invite parents to come 15 minutes prior to the end of the party, and let the girls perform a mini concert for them. Every little girl should enjoy at least 15 minutes of fame! Provide Silk Roses for the parents to present to each of the dee-lighful little divas. Have parents ask for autographs and take lots of photos of the group.

From Creativity for Kids, there is an Invisible Illusions Jewelry Craft Kit and a Smackers’ Lip Balm Craft Kit, and both are perfect for this theme.

Create a “Shop till you Drop Scavenger Hunt”, by hiding plenty of Stick on Jewels, Crystal Rings, Lip Gloss, Glitter Bracelets and other small, inexpensive treasures, and letting the girls search for them.

Try the wonderful Flower Power pińata, as we’ve yet to find a stylish girl who doesn’t want to take a swing at one at a party. Lizzie's friends love to be showered with compliments and with candy and treats!

Scavenger Hunt

Get your guests into the spirit of this game by explaining that Lizzie’s sneaky brother Matt has taken some things she needs for a school project, and they must help her find them. To start, divide your guests into teams. Give each team a printed list of items they must find (at least one item for each year of the birthday child’s age), a pen to mark them off the list once they’re found, and a bag for carrying them.

Enlist a parent or older sibling to supervise each team as they scour the neighborhood for listed items. Set a time limit and deduct one point from a team’s total for each minute they are late. Supervisors should keep track of the time and make sure your rules are followed (no stealing, no more than two items from one neighbor, groups cannot split up, etc.)

Make sure the list of items to find has things the kids have to ask neighbors for as well as items they can find on their own. Consider the following: coin dated the year the birthday child was born, piece of gum, rubberband, thread, section of an old newspaper, pin, green leaf, pebble, paperclip, flower, empty soda can, twig, crayon, plastic utensil, etc. To make it more fun, tell the kids they get double points for an item if it is blue (or another designated color).

When time is up, go through each team’s bag and tally up their points. Award the winners with small, theme-related favors or special privileges (first to get cake, first to choose party favors, etc.). Have fun!

Express Makeover
Pamper your guests with a little make-up and nail polish! Apply a bit of blush, eyeshadow and lip gloss for a quick makeover. For a more extensive transformation, ask a teen or fun-loving mom to give quick manicures or pedicures, too. Provide scented lotion to rub on hands or feet, and offer a few different colors of nail polish for your guests to choose from. Once nails are dry, let your guests pick out tiny stickers to add to each nail if they wish!

Birthday Cheer
Challenge your guests to create a cheer for the birthday girl! To prepare, write down some cheers you know or print out a few simple cheers from the Internet. At the party, split your guests into teams and give them some time to come up with a cheer to honor the birthday child. They can make up their own original cheer or change the words of an existing one to fit the occasion. When they’re ready, let each team perform their cheer for the whole group. Everyone will enjoy hearing what each team has come up with!

Theme-Related Field Trip
For a special birthday outing, take your guests to see The Lizzie McGuire Movie. Or, if you prefer, let the kids watch a Lizzie McGuire video instead.

Hacky Sack
Your guests will have fun learning to hacky sack, a favorite activity of Lizzie’s good friend Gordo. Hacky sack is a hands-free, soccer-like game in which players pass a hacky sack footbag among themselves using their legs and feet.

The game can be played anywhere with any number of players. Hands can only be used to toss the hacky sack to get started. After that, hands are off limits. You can purchase hacky sacks at most toys stores, game shops and sports stores.

Lizzie McGuire Party Food and Cake Ideas

Fresh Taco Bar - For a treat your guests will love building themselves, prepare all your child’s favorite taco fixings and set them out in bowls on your table. Provide crispy corn tortilla shells, spicy ground beef filling, shredded lettuce, grated cheese, chopped tomatoes, sliced olives, onions, salsa, sour cream, etc.  Give the children taco shells on plates and let them walk around your “taco bar” filling their shells with the ingredients of their choice!

Fruit and Veggie Tray - Everyone loves finger food, and you’ll feel good knowing your guests are eating a healthy snack. Slice carrots and spread celery sticks with peanut butter. Arrange on a tray with cherry tomatoes, olives, and other vegetables your child enjoys.

Slice up cantaloupe, honeydew, or watermelon for a fruit platter. Add grapes, slices of apple, oranges, strawberries, bananas, and more!

Mocha Coolers - Treat your guests to a special treat that tastes just like a mocha cappuccino! To serve six, you'll need crushed ice, straws, tall clear glasses, and the following ingredients: 2 Tbs. cocoa powder; 6 Tbs. honey; 6 cups nonfat milk; 2 Tbs. instant decaffeinated coffee.

Combine cocoa, honey, and 2 cups milk in a saucepan. Stir until blended and gradually add remaining milk. Slowly warm over low heat, stirring frequently. Add instant coffee and mix until completely dissolved. Remove from heat. Let stand.

Fill each glass halfway with crushed ice and fill up with the mocha mixture. Garnish with a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle with chocolate powder or chocolate flakes. Add a sprig of mint for fun!

Note: For guests who don't like coffee, use instant cocoa. For variety, add a shot of flavoring such as mint or vanilla. Serve it over ice with the same toppings.

Lizzie’s Energy Bars - Girls on the go will love these chewy granola bars! You’ll need the following ingredients: 4 1/2 cups rolled oats, 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. vanilla extract, 2/3 cup margarine, 1/2 cup honey, 1/3 cup packed brown sugar, 2 cups mini chocolate chips.

First, combine vanilla, margarine, honey and brown sugar in a large bowl; mix well. Add oats, flour, and baking soda. Stir in chocolate chips.

Press mixture into a lightly greased 9”x13” baking pan. Bake at 325 degrees F for 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Let them cool in the pan completely. Cut into bars and serve!

Special Ice Cream Sundaes - Your guests will enjoy dressing up their sundaes just the way they like them! Bake your favorite brownie recipe, or follow the directions on a package of brownie mix. When cooled, cut them in squares and place one in the bottom of each child’s bowl. Set out sprinkles, chocolate chips, whipped cream, cherries, and any other toppings your child enjoys. Let everyone add the toppings of their choice to their sundaes. Enjoy!
