The Wiggles Party Slogans & Invitations
After selecting this theme for your party, choose a slogan to use in
your invitations and to tie in decorations and personalized favors for your Wigglestm
theme. Find the perfect slogan for your party by trying one of the
following, or by thinking of one that suits your precious child.
"Join us on the Good Ship Feathersword...for birthday fun with
Jeffrey!"
"We'll have a Hoop Dee Doo time at Jaden's Wiggles Party!"
"Wiggle your way to Tennison's birthday celebration!"
Wiggles Party Invitations:
Choose one of the following invitations to let your family and friends
know what a joyous celebration they will be attending:
The
Wiggles Ensemble contains a delightful invite that is perfect
for this theme!
As an alternative, the unique
Design Invitation can be imprinted with your personalized
slogan and details of the party...you name it, and we’ll print it for
you! Consider using Curling
Ribbon to attach a Dog Bone to an invite
that says, "Join Wags and the gang at a Wiggle-fest as we celebrate
Lauren's 3rd birthday!"
Wiggles Party Tips
1.
Mail invitations two weeks before the party date.
2. Plan a safe, comfortable place for the
party where the children can have fun, but will not hurt themselves or your
home. If planning an outdoor party be sure to have a backup plan in case of
bad weather.
3. Limit the party time to two hours or
less for children under six years of age. Up to three hours is fine for
older children.
4. Prepare more activities than you plan to
use in advance. Activities often take less time than planned and you may
want to keep the children busy.
5. Include the birthday child in
preparations as often as possible. Let him or her stuff the party favor
bags, make suggestions for games, help with the decorations, set the table,
and mail the invitations - even if that only means putting them in the
mailbox.
The Wiggles™ Party
Decorations
One-by-one your guests will come, to eat birthday cake, and
have lots of fun! We offer all the decorations you will need to create
a memorable birthday party.
Wiggles Party Outdoor decorations:
Attach a bouquet of helium-filled
balloons to a light post or mailbox so there will be no mistaking
where the fun will be that day!
Wiggles Party Indoor Decorations
Start your decorating with the
Wiggles Ensemble. This kit contains balloons, streamers, curling
ribbon, confetti, a centerpiece, banner, and even a Pinata to match your
theme!
Check out the wonderful
Pirate Ship to double as the Good Ship Feathersword. Take
lots of pictures using this decoration as a photo backdrop, including one
of each guest with the birthday boy or girl. Your child will use this
exclusive prop for hours of imaginative play long after the party ends.
A
Musical Note Mylar balloon is the perfect decoration for
party that's all about singing, dancing and celebrating!
Just add a little plaid, and you can invite Henry the Octopus to the
party using a
Giant Octopus Standee!
To create the perfect setting for the Wiggles, set up the
Concert Stage. Add Party
Lights and a
Fog Machine and the kids will be looking for Anthony, Jeff,
Murray and Greg to perform!
Tie bows with
Gossamer across the top of each chair back. The bows can be
cut to any length and look great with tails trailing on the floor. Make
bows to hang anywhere and everywhere...chairs, doorways, tree trunks,
stair rails, deck posts, gift packages, or table-ends. Gossamer also looks
terrific as a tablecover or hanging from a doorframe.
Balloons can economically transform any room into a
festive space in a matter of minutes by using some of the following
ideas:
-Use a
Helium Tank to fill balloons. Tie Curling
Ribbon to red and yellow balloons and group the balloons
together. (Odd numbers look best: 3, 5, or 7.) Place groupings of balloons
around the party room.
-Tie a bunch of helium-filled balloons to the birthday child’s chair, or
tie one balloon to the back of each chair around the birthday table.
-If you choose not to use helium, tie balloons to varying lengths of
curling ribbon and hang from the ceiling or from a light fixture over the
party table.
Streamers offer an economical way to splash lots of
color around the site of the party. Create a fun and colorful effect by
draping streamers from the center of the ceiling to the walls on each side
of the room. The streamers can be twisted after they are anchored to a
ceiling wall or table for a more dimensional look. Two different colored
streamers can be placed back to back and twisted for a unique look. They
also look terrific hanging from doorframes or cascading vertically down
walls.
Wiggles Party Table Decorations:
Setting a table with the party ware, including the tablecloth, cups,
plates, napkins, and cutlery is the fastest way to create a focal point in
a room.
Start by setting your table with all the goodies in the Wiggles Ensemble, creating a place setting at the table for each birthday
guest. Setting the table with all the tableware creates a much grander
effect.
Add a few of the following touches to personalize your table:
Sprinkle
Silk Rose Petals on the tables...remnants of
the roses gobbled up by Dorothy the Dinosaur!
Create a centerpiece using a bunch of helium-filled balloons tied with
curling ribbon. Attach them to a
Foil Balloon Weight.
Display your birthday cake in the center of the table...the children
will love the close up view!
Order red or blue Napkins and have them imprinted
with your party slogan. Select a metallic or foil imprint. The napkins
will serve several purposes -- great decorating in disguise and a
treasured memento for the birthday child’s scrapbook.
Add other Personalized Items, such as a
Stadium Cup,
to each place setting to let the birthday child know just how special he or
she is. These items will stir fond memories of the "best birthday ever"
for many years to come.
Wiggles Party Decorating Tips
Spread your tablecover on your party table. If your
child has any theme-related toys, you can add them to the table for a more
festive display.
Use the four colors
of the Wiggles - red, purple, yellow and blue to decorate
everything-balloons, tables, place settings, streamers, front door, child's
special seat.
Download pictures
from the internet of the Wiggles and let the Birthday Child color and then
hang around the party room.
Cut several one-to-two-foot-long pieces of
curling ribbon. Curl the ribbon by pulling it between your thumb and the
blade of your scissors. Lay the resulting curls on your table for added
color. Hang balloons in bunches for the best effect. If you choose to fill
balloons with helium, wait until the party day to ensure they float well!
Use balloons to mark the party spot; hang
them on the mailbox, near the front door, or tie them to the birthday
child's chair to mark the seat of honor.
Place balloons anywhere that strikes your
fancy. The more the better!
Gather six or eight streamers and attach
them to the ceiling in the center of the party room (or over the table). Use
a light fixture over the table, if you have one, as the center point for the
streamers.
To create colorful two-tone streamers, put
two differently colored streamers back-to-back, twist as you walk them to
the wall, and attach at shoulder height.
Wiggles Party Activities and Games
A Wiggles™ party just wouldn’t be
complete without lots of singing, dancing, happily-ever-after memory
making...and of course, lots of Wiggling!
Face Painting
Make your guests feel special with a bit of
face paint! As each child arrives, decorate his or her cheeks with bright
Wiggles’ colors: blue for Anthony, yellow for Greg, red for Murray and
purple for Jeff. For more fun, enlist an artistic parent or older sibling to
draw the face of Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus or
Captain Feathersword.
Musical Chairs Sing
Along
Get your guests into the Wiggles spirit
with this enhanced version of the game “musical chairs.” To begin, play
a Wiggles album and encourage the kids to sing along to the music and dance
if they wish.
Then, form a circle of chairs with one
chair for each player. With the music playing, tell the kids to walk around
the circle in the same direction. Before you stop the music, remove one
chair from the circle.
When the music stops, players must sit down
in a chair. The player left without a chair is out. Continue the game,
removing a chair each round until there is only one chair left. Encourage
children who are out to sing and dance to the music. Let them help you
decide when to start and stop the music as well.
Continue until there is only one child
left. Let the winner control the music in the next game!
Hot Potato
For variety, play this classic party game
with one of your child’s toys, such as a stuffed animal. While players
toss the toy around, a chosen player, with eyes closed, shouts “wiggles”
at random. The player caught holding the toy is out. The game continues
until there is only one player left.
Balloon Dance
Attach an inflated balloon to the ankle of
each player. Put on a Wiggles album to get everyone dancing and singing.
Each child tries to protect his or her own balloon while trying to pop the
other dancers’ balloons. Award the final dancer with a small prize.
A variation: fill
the "dance floor" with many wiggles' colored balloons filled with
air (not helium) and let the kids dance around the room while the balloons
float around their feet. Makes for lots of giggles!
Video
Dance Along
Play your child's
favorite Wiggles video and let the youngsters have fun doing the dances they
see on the videos!
Balloon Hop
Uncork some old-fashioned energy with this
lively relay! Divide guests into equal teams and line them up behind a
start/finish line. Give the first person on each team a small balloon. While
holding it between their knees, each player must hop across the room, around
a chair, and back to the start/finish line. He or she then passes the
balloon to the next player, etc., until everyone has had a turn. The first
team to finish, wins!
Birthday Banner
Your guests will enjoy expressing their
creativity with this activity! Purchase a large piece of white butcher paper
and write “Happy Birthday (your child’s name)!” on the top. Mount the
paper on a wall within easy reach of the kids, or lay it on the floor.
Provide crayons, markers, stencils, stickers, glue, glitter, or small
household objects to make crayon rubbings (quarters, keys, bottle tops,
etc.). Let the kids have fun decorating the banner. Encourage them to write
special messages and ask them to add their names and ages beside their
drawings. After the party, fold up the banner and save it for a rainy day.
Or, take a picture of the banner and put it in a photo album
Unbearable Knots
This crazy game will have your guests in
knots! Kids begin by standing in a circle facing one another. Everyone
extends his or her right hand into the ring and takes a hold of someone
else's hand. They then do the same with their left hands. The object of the
game is to see if they can untangle the "knot" by stepping over,
ducking under, and turning around--without letting go of one another’s
hands!
Have
Bubbles imprinted with your child’s party slogan. Murray
loves bubbles and pint-sized guests will too!
Face painting is an age
appropriate activity for a toddler party, and you'll want the
easy-to-use
Face Paint Crayons that wash off easily.
A simple balloon,
a flower, or a musical note would all be easy to create and fun!
The magnificent
Pirate Ship is the ultimate Wiggles party prop. Take the
time to have each child pose alone, and with the birthday child for
pictures inside the Good Ship Feathersword. Tell the kids a joke to
loosen them up first. (Here’s a favorite of ours: Why couldn’t the
11-year-old boy go to the movie? Because it was rated “aaaaargh.”) Ask
them to “Say aaaaargh” for the pictures! The priceless photos can then
be mailed to each guest with a thank you note at a later date. Plan to
give the children plenty of free time for imaginative play.
A Karaoke Machine is the perfect
birthday gift for a Wiggles fan. Stage your own Wiggles concert
complete with special effects. Add Party
Lights and a
Fog Machine to a
Concert Stage to create
the biggest and best birthday bash ever!
Provide
Inflatable Instruments, and play the
Wiggles Hoop Dee Doo CD. Even the shyest of children will
become involved once they start singing and dancing to a wigglin' beat.
Be sure to plan lots of time for this activity and to have the video
camera ready to capture some memorable moments. This stage will be used
by your child long after the party ends for lots of concerts for family
and friends!
Play a couple of games using the
Giant Octopus Standee.
Play
"Pin the Plaid on Henry", using small pieces of plaid fabric, or have
the kids try to toss black shoes (in place of bean bags) through the
opening!
“Swab the Poop Deck of the Good Ship Feathersword" can be played as a
relay with the group divided into two teams. With broom or mop in hand,
each team member will have to swab an inflated balloon
through a simple obstacle course and back to the starting line. There,
they will tag the next child in line, until each member on the team has
done his duty.
Give Wags the Dog a place to stay...and let the kids color away! The
Color-Your-Own Dog House is a great party decoration, and a
fun place for the gang to be creative.
If your child loves magic tricks, hire a magician to perform at your
party as a tribute to Greg.
Instead of Duck Duck Goose, play Sleep, Sleep, Wake Up Jeff!
There's a Wiggles
Pull Drum Pińata, and we’ve yet to find a child who doesn’t
want to take a swing at one and grab for some sweet treats at a party!
Wiggles Birthday Party Treats and Snacks
Rainbow Punch
Create a drink that's as much fun to make
as it is to drink! Freeze several of your child's favorite Kool-Aid®
flavors (berry, orange, lemon, lime, grape, etc.) in ice cube trays. (Fill
trays half full so more cubes will fit in each glass.) At serving time,
place all cubes in a large bowl and let the kids fill their cups with their
choice of colored cubes. Then, pour lightly-colored soda into each child's
glass and watch the rainbow of colors!
Colossal Cookie
Prepare your favorite cookie recipe and
form a giant dough ball. Spray a baking sheet with vegetable oil, and place
the ball of dough on the pan. Shape the entire ball into a large circle,
square, triangle, heart, or whatever shape you choose. Make it about 1/2”
thick.
Bake 5-10 minutes longer than the recipe
instructs, checking periodically. Test with a toothpick to make sure the
center is cooked. When cool, carefully slide it onto a large tray or a piece
of foil-covered cardboard. Decorate the cookie with theme-related figurines
and write Happy Birthday to the child being honored!
Fantastic Finger Food
Everyone loves finger food! On a large
decorative tray, arrange a variety of visually appealing finger snacks,
including lettuce for filler. Try some of the following options for a great
nutritional meal.
Anthony’s Blue Chips and Salsa
- Serve blue corn ships with salsa,
guacamole and/or sour cream. For fun, tint the sour cream blue if you wish.
Greg’s Yellow Cheese Squares
- Cube cheddar cheese and spear with
colorful toothpicks. Serve with a variety of crackers in different shapes
and sizes.
Jeff’s Purple Pleasers
- Tint softened cream cheese purple with
food coloring. Spread it on slices of thin ham and roll them up. Cut rolls
into 1-1/2” lengths. Spear with toothpicks to hold them together.
Murray’s Red Fruit Kabobs
- Select a variety of red fruits
(watermelon, red apples, strawberries, etc.). Cut the melon in chunks and
slice the apples into bite-size pieces. Spear the fruit on skewers and
remove the sharp, pointed end for safety. Stick skewers in a melon half for
fun, and display in the center of your tray.
Captain Feathersword’s Celery Sticks
- Fill stalks with peanut
butter. Keep feathery ends for decoration.
Dorothy Dinosaur’s Carrot Roses
- Peel the outer layer of a carrot
and discard. Continue peeling, making peels of assorted lengths and
thicknesses. (Thin peels are easier to curl.) Assemble roses by arranging
several peels inside one another, placing the larger ones on the outside.
Gradually stack the peels in a rounded shape, with shortest, curliest peels
on top. Spear an olive on a toothpick into the middle of your rose to hold
it together.
Henry’s Vegetable Octopus
- Using long carrot peels from the
previous snack, string olives along the peels and make eight octopus legs.
Use a tomato as the body and place the legs around it to form an octopus!
Wag’s Doggone Silly Sandwiches
- Your guests will giggle when they
see these snacks. Make your child’s favorite sandwiches and cut them into
dog bone shapes using a cookie cutter.
Wiggly Jell-o (cups of Jell-o and
Jell-o cubes in each of the four colors)
Choose anything your child likes and add it to the tray as well. The options
are endless!
